Juneteenth '24 Celebration
What's it all about?
For three Saturdays in June, our kids' online painting party, Sip Juice & Color History, will focus on Juneteenth and other powerful stories from black history. It will be an hour of fun, filled with biographies, illustrations, and culturally rich activities. Each Saturday we'll read and paint/color illustrations from a different black history activity book - Untold Stories of the Underground Railroad; Untold Stories of the Harlem Renaissance; and Untold Stories of the Buffalo Soldiers.
What happens in that hour?
- Interactive black history reading
- Empowering TRUE stories of resilience, persistence, and ingenuity
- Painting, coloring, art tips & tricks,
- Word-for-the-day vocabulary-building activity,
- Added activities and posting art in the Private Facebook group.
Ages 8 - 12; but enjoyed by all ages as a family activity.
Sessions are recorded for viewing later.
Don’t let your kids miss the empowerment and the fun!
