Color of History, LLC ("Color History," "we," "us," or "our") operates colorhistory.com and the Coloring Black History activity book series. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or make a purchase, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you and automatically as you use our site:
- Contact information you provide through our order forms or sign-up forms — typically your name, email address, and shipping address, and phone number if requested at checkout. This is collected and stored through GoHighLevel (GHL), the customer-relationship platform we use to run our site, forms, and email communications.
- Payment information when you make a purchase. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Color History does not receive, see, or store your full card number — Stripe handles that under its own PCI-compliant systems. We do retain order records (what was purchased, order total, order date) needed to fulfill your order and provide support.
- Website usage data collected automatically via Google Analytics 4 (GA4), such as pages viewed, general location (city/region level), device/browser type, and how you found our site. This data is aggregated and used to understand site traffic — it is not used to individually identify you.
2. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Our site uses:
- Google Analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the site.
- Functional cookies from GoHighLevel, used to operate our order forms and checkout flow.
- A cookie-preference setting stored in your browser's local storage (not a traditional cookie) that simply remembers whether you've dismissed our cookie notice, so we don't show it to you again on future visits.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser's settings at any time. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site function (for example, checkout).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process and fulfill your order, and send order confirmation and shipping emails
- To respond to questions or requests you send us
- To send updates about your order, our books, and occasional promotions or Sip Juice event invitations — you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send
- To understand overall site traffic and improve the site (via aggregated GA4 analytics)
4. Who We Share Information With
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our business, and we share only what each one needs to do its job:
- Stripe — payment processing
- GoHighLevel (GHL) — forms, order management, and email delivery
- Google Analytics — site traffic analytics
5. Children's Privacy
Our activity books are written for children ages 7–11, but our website and order forms are intended to be used by parents, grandparents, and educators making a purchase on their behalf — not by children directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below and we will delete it.
6. Data Security
Our site is served over HTTPS (encrypted connection), and payment information is handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant systems. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage online is ever 100% secure.
7. Your Choices
- Marketing emails: unsubscribe anytime via the link at the bottom of any email
- Access or deletion: email us and we'll respond to reasonable requests to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
